EDGE Sporting Management driver Lewis Goff ended his championship-winning season with victory in the final race of the 2026 Ginetta Junior Championship powered by Sunoco Race Fuels at the Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit.
Already crowned champion at the previous round, Goff arrived at the British GT Championship support event looking to finish the year strongly. In another closely contested qualifying session, he secured fifth and fourth on the grids for the opening two races. He followed those results with third place in race one and fourth in race two, putting him fourth on the grid for the season finale.
A scrappy opening lap dropped Goff to sixth as light rain began to fall. Contact between two cars ahead moved him back into fifth at the start of lap two, and the leading group soon became embroiled in a fight for position. Goff made the most of it, picking his way through to third by the end of the lap.
The lead changed hands several times over the next half-lap. Goff moved into second behind his R Racing teammate Jesse Phillips, then used the slipstream to take the lead at turn two on lap three as the rain grew a little more persistent.
From there, Goff put together a run of consistent laps. He and Phillips had opened a four-second gap over the rest of the field when a safety car was called with six minutes remaining, bringing everyone back together for a one-lap sprint to the finish.
Goff judged the restart well and was never challenged on the final lap. His victory brought the curtain down on his 2026 Ginetta Junior campaign in fitting style.
A champions drive in the final race of the season to take victory number TEN of the season, more than double anyone else in the field.
Shortly after the race Goff thanked EDGE Sporting Management & R Racing for a wonderful 2026 season and said he is looking forward to the next challenge.
