Strong weekend for Voisin at Silverstone

EDGE driver Callum Voisin came into Silverstone looking to gain more valuable championship points in his bid to become the 2023 GB3 Champion.

Qualifying took place under very wet conditions and the session was interrupted with a Red Flag. During the halt in proceedings Callum’s car would develop a slight issue leaving him on the back foot and resulting in a qualifying position of P7 and P6.

Race 1 would take place later that afternoon, and again in wet conditions. Voisin had a good start and held position for the entirety of race 1. The #35 Rodin Carlin prepared car came across the line  P6.

Race 2 would see a dry race. Voisin again made a good start and began to carve his way through the field. Mid way through the race Callum was up into P4 and this is where he would cross the line on track, however some post race penalties saw Callum promoted to P3!

Race 3 would see the reverse grid line up. Callum would take P12 grid position. A fantastic start saw Callum rocket up the order and by the end of lap 1 he was already in P7! Some stunning overtakes saw the youngster soon into a podium position and as he crossed the line was in P2! Unfortunately some post race track limits penalties would see Voisin demoted to P4. Callum is now lying 2nd in the championship ahead of the next round at Spa Francorchamps on June 3-4.
