Reza Seewooruthun – RoKit FIA British F4 Championship
The fourth round of the 2024 RoKit FIA British F4 championship took place at the fastest track in the UK, Thruxton circuit in Hampshire.
Qualifying once again was incredibly close in the F4 category and Reza qualified P5 and P4, just one-tenth and eight-hundredths respectively off pole position.
Race one, Reza got himself up to P2 early on but unfortunately got a puncture, due to contact with another car, and was forced to retire after just five laps.
Race 2, which is a reverse grid in the F4 championship, saw Reza finish P7 which is his strongest result in the reverse grid races so far this season and some good points as well as fastest lap which underlined his strong pace this weekend.
However, the best was yet to come! Race three saw Reza take his first win in the FIA F4 British championship which is a massive monkey off his back and a brilliant result for Reza, EDGE and the Hi-tech racing team.
Shortly after the weekend Reza said:
“Super happy with the weekend overall, Race 1 was really unfortunate to have some light contact cause a puncture but we bounced back really well in Race 2 with our strongest result in the reverse grid format. And then I’m obviously ecstatic to get my first F4 win in Race 3 & I can’t wait for Silverstone next weekend”
Reza sits 6th in the Championship & will look to take this momentum into the next round which takes place at the home of British Motorsport, Silverstone, on the 15-16th June.
Results: Q1- 5th / Q2 – 4th / R1 – DNF / R2 – 7th / R3 – WIN !
