Reza Seewooruthun – RoKit FIA British F4 Championship
The fifth round of the 2024 RoKit FIA British F4 championship took place at the home of British Motorsport, Silverstone, in Northamptonshire.
This was a stand-alone meeting for the F4 championship, who normally support the BTCC, and took place over the famous Grand Prix circuit layout.
EDGE driver Reza Seewooruthun was coming off the back of his first win in the series in what is his debut season the week before at Thruxton.
This momentum travelled well to Silverstone as Reza took his first Pole Position in the category in what was once again a very closely fought session which saw the front row split by 0.078 seconds around the 3.66-mile venue!
Race one, from pole position, Reza lost the lead to his teammate early on and was not able to find a way past but came home a very solid P2.
Race 2, which is a reverse grid in the F4 championship, saw most of the race take place under safety car conditions which made it hard to make places up but Reza managed to make 4 places up and finish P8 for some solid championship points.
Race three saw Reza take his second win of the season with fastest lap to boot in what was a closely fought battle with his Hi-Tech Pulse-Eight teammate Deagan Fairclough.
Shortly after the weekend Reza said:
“A weekend to remember & my best results across one race weekend. Qualifying was greasy but we went out on slicks which are conditions I love & was thrilled to get my first pole position. Thanks to the team, Edge and a special thanks to my Dad for all his support & I hope he enjoyed his Fathers Day! ”
Reza has now jumped up to 4th in the Championship & will look to take this momentum into the next round which takes place at Zandvoort in Holland, on the 13-14th July.
Results: Q1- Pole / Q2 – 2nd / R1 – 2nd / R2 – 8th / R3 – WIN !
