Victory for Miller at season opener in British GT

Josh Miller – British GT4 Championship – Round 1 – Donington Park

EDGE driver Josh Miller made his return to the British GT4 Championship in style with a class podium at the opening round of the series, held at the world famous Donington Park.

Having spent the last 3 seasons in Aston Martin machinery it was a switch to fellow British manufacturer, Lotus, for the 2025 campaign, driving the Lotus Emira GT4 for the factory backed Mahiki Racing.

Practice was spent settling into the new car and fine tuning the setup to suit Miller & new teammate, Aiden Neate.

This hard work paid off as a combined lap time GT4 pole position was the reward following the qualifying session on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, shortly after entering the pitlane the car was jacked up in breach of the championship regulations & so the pair were forced to start from the back of the field despite being fastest on track.

This needed a recovery drive from the back of the field in the 2-hour season opener on Sunday afternoon.

That’s exactly what we got, with both drivers making good and steady progress throughout the race to be 5thoverall at the flag and first in the Silver/Silver driver category.

Shortly afterwards Miller said:

This was a good result in the end and really shows our pace and capabilities going into the rest of the season. I have no doubt if we would have kept the pole position we earnt on track we would have been well in the fight for the overall GT4 win. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Edge & Mahiki Racing for this opportunity this year”

RESULTS: Q- Pole Position* / Race – 1st in Silver/Silver Class
