Josh Rowledge – British GT Championship – Rnd 7 – Snetterton
The Snetterton 300 circuit hosted round seven, races 14 and 15, of the British GT championship. EDGE driver Josh Rowledge, in his Blackthorn Motorsport Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo qualified in P9 for the first of the two x1 hour races hosted at the Norfolk circuit.
His teammate, Matt Topham, brought the car in 10th at the pit stops and a good pit window saw Josh released into P9 for his stint with the other silver and pro graded drivers.
A strong run from the young charger saw him bring the car home in P6 overall and P3 in the GT3SA class for which the car runs.
Race two was a more difficult affair as the car developed a clutch fault which hindered its progress through the field however they managed to finish P9 overall which was P4 in the GT3SA class.
After the race Rowledge commented:
“It’s been a good positive weekend for us after having a strong showing at Spa at the last round. I feel that both myself, Matt and the team are really getting our heads around the car now and we’re all putting together a strong weekends worth of results. For me personally, in the second race, I was really pleased with my performance against the other Silver & Pro drivers. Thanks to Edge & all the team and we look forward to a positive rest of the season from here.
