Gamble re signs with Heart of Racing in WEC and IMSA for 2026 after solid season

EDGE driver Tom Gamble has re signed with The Heart of Racing for 2026 after a strong 2025 dual championship attack in IMSA and WEC.

In 2025, Tom Gamble made the step up to top-class endurance racing – joining Aston Martin’s factory-backed Valkyrie LMH programme alongside an experienced multi-manufacturer driver roster. As part of the #007 car entry, Gamble partnered with veteran drivers to field one of the newest and most ambitious Hypercar projects on the grid.

Key Highlights

  • Transitioned from a successful GT/GT3 background into a full-season Hypercar campaign with Aston Martin and The Heart of Racing Team.
  • Contributed to development of the new Valkyrie AMR-LMH — a V12-powered Hypercar running in the world’s premier endurance racing series, the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
  • Despite debut-season challenges, the team – and Tom – pushed the car’s performance forward, culminating in reliability, competitive pace, and a growing threat within the premier class.
  • Finishing the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans: both entries of the Valkyrie completed the 24 hours, a significant achievement for a new car
  • Best WEC finish of 5th place at the 6 hours of Fuji (009 Car)
  • At the season finale at Bahrain, the Valkyrie led for a portion of the race, marking the first time the programme led a WEC round

Words from Tom Gamble

“This is a huge one for me and it’s a real chance for me to sort of prove myself.”

“… in every race we’re taking big steps to get closer to them.”

“In terms of the car’s pace… we’ve kind of almost overachieved our expectations.”

These statements reflect Tom’s ambition, determination, and realistic appraisal of a first season in a hyper-competitive Hypercar field.

Looking Forward

  • The 2025 campaign has laid a solid foundation: the first chapter of the Valkyrie programme can now serve as a springboard for growth.
  • With continued team stability, accumulated data, and development work on chassis, controls, and race-pace, Tom is strongly positioned to push for more consistent top finishes in 2026.
  • Tom remains committed to working with Aston Martin and The Heart of Racing to maximise the potential of the Valkyrie and help translate incremental gains into outright podiums – and ultimately, championship contention.
